Artist Notes

All too often I see people trying to control the narrative of someone’s story. Trying to make them follow a script and a story-line that benefits them rather than letting that person write their own narrative.

We all all different, we all have a story to tell and a journey to make. Don’t forget you have a voice.

Don’t forget you are stronger than you know. You control your life. You are not a prize. You do not need rescuing. You decide if you need a hero or a knight in shining amour riding a white horse to come to your rescue. You decide if you are the damsel in distress or the queen of your castle. You choose to open the gates or to leave them outside in the rain to rust and waste away.

Write your own plot. Become the hero or heroine of your story. If you don’t like the way the plot is going just cross out that chapter and move on to the next.

This is a story. This is the message embedded in this digital artwork. There are 116 layers blended together in Photoshop to create this final image.

Update Notes

In the tapestry of existence, far too frequently, we encounter forces that seek to script our lives, directing our actions to fit their grand design, rather than embracing the rich variety of stories each soul harbors. Remember, every voice holds power, including yours. Never lose sight of the strength that resides within; you are the master of your destiny.

You are no one’s trophy, and salvation is not something you need to wait for. You hold the sovereignty to summon your champions, or to stand as your own defender, to be the sovereign of your realm or the architect of your escapades. The choice is yours—to swing wide the gates of your life or let the iron rust under the tempest’s tears.

Craft the narrative of your existence. Step into the role of protagonist in your own epic. Should the narrative falter, seize the quill, strike through the discord, and venture forth to the next chapter with courage.

This artwork is not merely an image; it’s a narrative within itself, a narrative of self-authorship and empowerment.  visual embodiment of the message: the power to shape your tale is yours, and yours alone.
