if you have sat in any woodland in total seclusion, no phone, no camera no other people and you just focus on the here and now, the sounds around you, the gentle caress of the wind as she moves around you, the scents of the mosses and leaves, the occasional drip as a drop of water lands on the damp forest floor. If you have, maybe just maybe you have also seen or felt something else, maybe you had a glimpse of the story that the trees are trying to tell us, maybe you have seen what was or what may be and what is possible.

Remember, we are all connected, we are all liked to each other and to nature in the same way as tree roots and branches are. Many of us have lost sight of that connection and how important it is. This artwork was created after one of those moments, look closely, the background image is an original fine art photograph I took of the Larch plantation next to Lantys Tarn on Patterdale hall Estate and the rest of the artwork is created by combining 120 layers made up of stock image and brushwork to create this finished piece titled “Bound to the Forest”
